Coast Guard (CG) is growing in the Arctic Region and we want to talk to students about opportunities for student program for this summer (2021), as well as to give students an idea of possible career choices within CG. Specifically, we are looking to talk to students about:
Inshore Rescue Boat Summer Student program, available to all post-secondary students in college or university. Working from Rankin Inlet, you will patrol the waters and assist mariners in need.
The Coast Guard College - for students who love being on the water, why not consider a university degree at the Coast Guard college, there is no tuition to enroll and we will pay you to attend.
Marine Communications and Traffic Services (MCTS) - If you have an interest in helping Mariners, but don?t want to be out on the water, MCTS, may be the position for you. Monitoring the movement of vessels and assisting vessels in distress.
Environmental Response - Help to keep our oceans clean by working on the Environmental Response team.
Fleet - Love the water, want to see Canada, like the idea of having 28 days off in a row? This opportunity might be for you.
Integrated Technical Services - If you have a technical background, or a specific trade, you might be interested in working for us at our base, maintaining electrical equipment, operating heavy machinery or maintaining our Aids to Navigation.
Register for the presentation to hear more about all of these exciting opportunities.
NOTE: This workshop will be held through video conferencing. All registered students will be contacted by the facilitator via email with video conferencing instructions.
